I just wrote this ride today. it was a typical disney ride, lots of music, lots of atomosphere, and really no substance. the tower is supposely a 1940s hotel for the rich hollywood elites. the story is that something happened, and like 5 people got zapped into the Twlight Zone.
so the hotel has a nice 40s feel, the decoration and the music. throw in some webs and disney cast that talks in a pretenious tone. then the infamous disney line system. surprisingly, California Adventure is not really crowded. so the line was decently short. but disney has designed a even better system where there is a 2nd waiting area with more lines. of course a remake of a twlight zone intro that explains the back story of the tower. of course when u finally get into the ride, buckle down, & stole away ur carryons... u get a cool elevator ride with cool star and door scene, that reseambles the classic twlight zone door in space. then we get some ghostly floors (everytime the elevator door opens, u r on a new floor) images.
of course, there r freefall drops.
a few of them... pretty much as scary as any disney ride. this aint no roller coaster lover's ride. but disney knows how to build ambience. but again, don't make an effort to go ride this in disney. but if u happen to be in Califronia Adventures, its one of them rides that u should go on. of course the best is the California Screaming.
